A few quick notes first:

The records that have been rejected will appear in the “reject” file.

The errors or reasons for the reject will appear in the “error” file.

1.         Using NTM Control select “Database Loader Options” from the Utilities menu.

2.         Any reject files with size greater than zero will be displayed in the Service Control screen that appears next.

3.         Select the reject files associated with the processes you wish to control.

4.         Right click and select “Create New Reject File”.

            a.         NOTE THIS WILL ONLY WORK WITH NEW BINARY LOADERS.

5.         Click “OK” to confirm at the confirmation message box.

            a.         This command will cause the DBLoader selected to close the existing “reject” file and create a new one.

            b.         The existing reject file will be renamed to a “reload” file.

            c.         The existing “error” file will be renamed by appending a timestamp.

            d.         If data manipulation is required before replay, it should take place here.

6.         Once the “reject” file has been renamed and a new one has been created, the Service Control screen on NTM Control will show the “reload” file(s).

7.         Select the files to be replayed, Right click and select the “Replay Reject File” option.

8.         Click “OK” on the confirmation message box.

            a.         This command will cause the DBLoader process to stop reading data from it designated data file.

            b.         It will then open and read the data from the “reload” file and replay it into the database.

            c.         The reject count on the stat monitor will be reset to zero before data replay begins.

            d.         Each record that is successfully loaded into the database from the “reload” file will be written to a “success” file.

            e.         Any errors that occur during replay will be handled like any normal reject.

            f.          When all records have been read and successfully replayed from the “reload” file, the “reload” file will be renamed to a “CMPLTE” file.

            g.         The “success” file will be renamed by appending a timestamp.
